If you did something wrong (men or women), just man up and apologize. Stop making excuses to go around it. Knowing how to apologize shows character. Learn to come to your mistakes whether it was intentional or unintentional. And apologize sincerely. The end.
I agree, excuses embrace a lack of confidence. On the other hand, apologizing does show character, but also vulnerability. But what benefit does an apology give besides closure for the person asking for it?
